Fanal

Located in the council of Porto Moniz, Fanal is a small volcanic hollow classified as an “Area of Rest and Quiet” by Madeira Nature Park. Its vegetation dates back to the discovery of the island and Fanal offers the show of nature in its pure state, with cows and calves in the fields. It can serve as a starting point for nature walks.

Fanal befindet sich im Stadtkreis von Porto Moniz und ist eine kleine vulkanische Caldeira, die vom Naturpark Madeira als “Erholungs- und Ruhereservat” klassifiziert wurde.

Fanal ist ein Gebiet mit einer Flora, die sich seit der Entdeckung der Insel widersetzen konnte. Es bietet ein grandioses Szenario von Natur in reinstem Zustand, in dem weidende Kühe und Kälber nicht fehlen und das als Ausgangspunkt für viele Wanderungen geeignet ist.

Fanal est un petit cratère volcanique situé dans la commune de Porto Moniz et classé par le Parc Naturel de Madère comme “Reserva de Repouso e Silêncio” : Réserve de Repos et de Silence.

Lieu de départ de plusieurs randonnées; la flore est endémique et vous ne manquerez pas d´observer vaches et veaux pâturant tranquillement et librement.
